About the Houston, TX Chapter

The Houston, Texas chapter of DOM formally kicked off in February 2008 under the leadership of DOM Club Members Zaina Van Loan and Heather Pitts:

We met at a housewarming party in Austin in the spring of 2005. We totally hit it off (shocking!) and kept in touch. Coincidentally, we both ended up moving to Houston in August of that year, basically leading parallel lives. We have now been in Houston 2 ½ years and are loving it! During this time, we have done what we do best which is to organize happy hours, social sporting activities, and fund-raising races, to attend continuing education classes, and to throw good-old-fashioned parties for no reason than to bring our friends and acquaintances together!

For us, DOM is an opportunity to give back to our community and grow our social and professional circle. With Houston being the fourth largest city in the nation, we know that there are so many more amazing women out there that we would like to meet and bring into a close-knit circle of friends for networking purposes, support purposes and of course, social purposes. We are very excited to start the Houston chapter! We look forward to the exciting future and the possibilities that this network will provide for the members of the Houston DOM group!
